I facilitated this exhibition, this book, and this expression of a community. I put a call out for small art, no larger than 12 inches on any one side, and several Joplin-area artists and a few from places like Kansas City and New Jersey responded generously. I asked them to depict what living, loving, and working in community could look like. The following images are what came pouring in, often from creative souls who donÕt even consider themselves artists. Once the work was hung and photographed, I gathered writing about particular paintings from art majors at Missouri Southern State University. I also included quotes about the nature of art and community.
