Snapping Turtle2023 was a very wet Nova Scotia summer and perhaps that's why I saw so many snapping turtles on the roadways looking for greener pastures. My neighbour bravely rescued one by picking it up from the back end and carrying it to safety. Snapping turtles can reach 10 kg in weight and possibly live up to 100 years! I focused on creating a deep stream palette of golds and browns to highlight the scales and a nod to the habitat. Handpulled original print,
